Interior Technical Designer

HBG Design is seeking a skilled Interior Technical Designer to contribute to the design and delivery of the firm's hospitality and entertainment projects. The role involves preparing architectural designs and construction documents, and bridging design and construction documentation functions.

• Work closely with project teams to translate design concepts into cost‑effective and innovative building design solutions.
• Utilize Revit technology to transform designs and sketches into 3D models and construction documents, meeting deadlines and budgets.
• Research and interpret architectural systems/materials and applicable codes and regulations to inform appropriate design solutions.
• Document and maintain project design files, including material selection and construction methods.
• Participate in consult coordination meetings under guidance of Interior Project Architect, Senior Interior Designer, and Project Manager.
• Assist with submittal reviews, RFIs, and ASIs as needed.

• Six (6) years minimum practical experience in documentation and architectural design.
• Bachelor’s degree from an architectural or interior design program.
• In process of acquiring AXP hours with intention to pursue exams and licensure.
• Fully competent in interior architecture and construction process, techniques, materials, and standards.
• Good communication skills and desire to improve team capabilities.
• Proficiency in Revit, Sketch‑up, Photoshop, and Microsoft Suite.

$70,000 – $100,000 per year. Individual compensation packages are based on skill set, regional cost of living, experience, and qualifications.
