Job Description & How to Apply Below

Vascular and Vein Institute of the South, a private vascular surgery practice in Memphis, TN, has an opening for a dynamic vascular surgeon to join five vascular surgeons and seven nurse practitioners to meet increasing demand for vascular and endovascular services within the community. The practice is the premier independent group in the area and amongst the busiest nationally in terms of volume.

The practice has two own ambulatory surgery centers and six office‑based procedure labs with modern imaging equipment and full staffing including nursing and anesthesia support. The vascular surgeons hold privileges in all metro‑area hospitals with access to hybrid ORs and angiography suites. The practice has 14 offices in the Memphis metro area and adjoining states of Arkansas and Mississippi. The practice has 12 ultrasonographers with vascular lab at all the offices.

The current practice offers an opportunity for full spectrum of endovascular and open vascular surgeries including EVAR, FEVAR, TCAR, and TEVAR. The incoming vascular surgeon will be performing all aspects of vascular surgery, with focus on open hospital‑based elective surgeries, in‑office vein procedures, and dialysis access creation and maintenance. Peripheral arterial disease is very prevalent in the area and advanced open and endovascular revascularization skillset is ideal.

Unlike most private practices and hospital‑based jobs, 99% of the procedures currently performed by the practice’s surgeons are elective in nature and derived from the clinic. The practice does not take ER call and only takes hospital calls for its own established patients.

Qualified candidates will be Board Certified with at least 3 years of experience, vascular surgery fellowship trained and have excellent endovascular skills. The ideal candidate must be interested in entrepreneurship and in learning about business and running a successful private practice.

This is an employed position with income potential above 95th MGMA percentile, comprehensive benefits package and fast‑track partnership track. The practice has a highly motivated and qualified practice management team with marketing skills dedicated to grow the incoming vascular surgeons’ practice. TN has no state income tax.
