Summary Description
The Before/After-School Certified tutor is responsible for designing professional instructions to provide academic, social, physical, and skill development for students in specific grades/subject areas to prepare them for success as citizens and workers.
Qualifications include graduation from an accredited college or university with an Associate's Degree, or two years of college (minimum 48 semester hours), or a passing score on the Para Pro Assessment Test, and one year of experience working with children in an educational setting preferred. Certification in CPR and First Aid is required or must be obtainable. (PROOF OF EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND/OR EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED)
Degree Equivalency Formula
Bachelor’s Degree = 4 years plus required experience.
Master’s Degree = 2 years plus required experience. When Master’s degrees are required, include years for Bachelor’s Degrees.
