Position DetailsTitle: Adjunct Faculty Pool - Pharmacy Technician
Classification: Faculty
Department: Pharmacy Technology
Location: Multiple Campus Locations, Southwest Tennessee Community College
Job Type: Part-time, Adjunct Faculty (positions are not guaranteed and are reviewed on a continuous basis. Future assignments are on a term-by-term basis. Applications close annually on January 31.)

Responsibilities- Deliver instruction in classroom and clinical settings on Pharmacy Technology topics.
- Assess and grade student work promptly and fairly, providing feedback on progress.
- Develop curricula, syllabi, and instructional materials.
- Maintain office hours, assist with student recruitment, and support student success outside of class.
- Keep accurate records of attendance and grades in compliance with FERPA.
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and college activities.
- Stay current with developments in the field and participate in professional organizations.
- Contribute to departmental and college committees and community outreach.
- Implement effective assessment methods and ensure safety protocols.
- Prepare and develop classroom and lab environments conducive to learning.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Department Head or Dean.
- Certified Pharmacy Technician with an Associate Degree or higher; actively pursuing an Associate’s Degree or state teaching credential.
- Licensed Pharmacist.
- Evidence of ongoing professional development.
- Proficiency in relevant content areas and effective teaching skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Student-centered approach and willingness to incorporate hands-on experiences.
- High integrity and professionalism.
- Compliance with state licensure or registration regulations.
- Knowledge of current teaching strategies and student engagement techniques.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, TEAMS, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to integrate technology and adapt instructional methods.
- Effective written communication skills.
- Flexibility to teach at various locations and using diverse methods.
