Overview
Memphis‑Shelby County Schools is seeking a dynamic educational champion to serve as a "Tutor – Before/After School Non‑Certified Part‑Time". The Before/After‑School Certified tutor provides professional instruction designed to advance students’ academic, social, physical, and skill development across specified grade levels and subject areas. The role requires the instruction of students to prepare them for successful citizenship and careers.
Qualifications include:
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with an Associate’s Degree, or two (2) years of college (minimum of 48 semester hours); or a passing score on the para
PRO Assessment Test. - One (1) year of experience working with children in an educational setting preferred.
- Must possess or be able to obtain certification in CPR and First Aid.
Proof of education, training, and/or experience is required.
Degree Equivalency FormulaBachelor’s Degree = 4 years plus required years of experience.
Master’s Degree = 2 years plus required years of experience. Where Master’s degrees are required, years for Bachelor’s Degrees must be included.
