Education Assistant – Early Childhood (Pre‑K)
Memphis‑Shelby County Schools is seeking an Education Assistant to support teachers and students in a dynamic classroom setting.
SummaryAssist school teachers in instructing and supervising the activities of students to maintain a well‑organized, smoothly functioning classroom environment.
Responsibilities- Assist teachers in preparing instructional materials and classroom setups.
- Supervise and assist children in class and other school areas.
- Reinforce classroom lessons and provide Chase additional assistance as requested.
- Assist special needs students and coordinate special projects and programs when assigned.
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with an Associate’s Degree, or at least 48 semester hours of college coursework.
- Passing score on the Para Pro Assessment Test is acceptable.
- Minimum one year of experience working with children in an educational setting is preferred.
- Current certification in CPR and First Aid, or ability to obtain within a specified period.
- Proof of education, training, and/or experience required.
