Memphis‑Shelby County Schools is seeking a dynamic educational champion to serve as a middle‑grades math teacher at Chickasaw Middle School. The successful candidate will provide instruction designed to advance academic, social, physical, and skill development for students in grades 6‑8 and prepare them to be successful citizens and workers in the 21st century.

• Deliver professional, engaging mathematics instruction aligned with district standards and state expectations.
• Plan, implement, and assess lessons using data‑informed decisions to meet diverse learning needs.
• Collaborate with colleagues, families, and support staff to create a positive learning environment.
• Maintain accurate records, report on student progress, and comply with state and district policies 💡.

• Bachelor’s degree with endorsement in the grade/subject taught and a valid Tennessee teaching certificate.
• Highly qualified for the grade/subject taught, governed by the Rules and Regulations of the Tennessee Code Annotated and the collective bargaining agreement.
• Physically and mentally able to perform the responsibilities and duties of the position.

• Bachelor’s Degree = 4 years of education plus required years of experience.
• Master’s Degree = 6 years of education plus required years of experience.
