Position Overview- Deliver engaging, standards-aligned 11th grade English Language Arts instruction that strengthens students’ reading, writing, speaking, and critical thinking skills.
- Guide students through literary and informational texts, developing their ability to analyze themes, evaluate evidence, and communicate ideas effectively through writing and speaking.
- Design differentiated lessons and use assessment data to identify learning needs, provide targeted support, and challenge students to reach higher levels of achievement.
- Build a collaborative classroom culture where students engage in meaningful discussions, explore diverse perspectives, and communicate their ideas with confidence.
- Bachelor’s degree
- Active Tennessee Teaching License/Certificate with the appropriate secondary English/Language Arts endorsement required
- 2+ years of teaching experience preferred, with experience teaching ELA in an urban or charter school setting strongly preferred
- Competitive Pay
