We are seeking a Senior Hydrogeologist to join our team of environmental professionals working on complex and rewarding projects across the country. The position can be based out of any of our offices:
Jacksonville, Tampa, Pensacola, FL;
Houston, TX;
Memphis, Knoxville, Nashville, TN; or Hartford, CT.
- Designing, directing, and executing complex site investigations, including the planning and implementation of drilling, geophysical logging, aquifer testing, sampling of various media, and installation of monitoring and recovery wells.
- Leading project teams in developing conceptual site models and conducting contaminant fate and transport evaluations.
- Managing and overseeing field activities, ensuring health and safety compliance, subcontractor coordination, and efficient scheduling.
- Interpreting hydrogeologic data and synthesizing field and analytical results to support reporting, risk assessments, remedial design, and regulatory decision‑making.
- Practically using advanced groundwater models to support site characterization and remediation/optimization strategies.
- Writing and reviewing technical reports, work plans, sampling plans, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Serving as a technical advisor, mentoring junior staff, performing quality control reviews, and helping the next generation of hydro geologists grow.
- Interfacing with clients and regulatory agencies as a subject matter expert, providing strategic guidance, presenting findings, and supporting negotiations.
- Performing optimization of passive and active remedial alternatives, including LTM.
- Building, calibrating, and validating analytical and numerical soil, groundwater, surface water, sediment, and indoor air (attenuation) modeling.
- Providing litigation support for discovery, affidavits, deposition, and trial.
- Performing sequence stratigraphy evaluations and reporting.
- Performing statistical evaluations, background studies, and associated reporting.
- Travel up to approximately 30% may be required, including occasional overnight trips.
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Hydrology, Hydrogeology, Geology, Engineering, or a closely related field.
- 15–20 years of professional experience, preferably in environmental consulting.
- Professional Geologist or Engineer licensure (by exam).
