Electrical & Controls Engineer
A leading manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced Electrical & Controls Engineer with strong PLC expertise to support, optimize, and advance our production operations. This role is critical in driving efficiency, improving system reliability, and supporting automation initiatives across the facility.
Base Pay Range$/yr - $/yr
Key Responsibilities- Controls Design & Integration: Design and implement electrical control systems with an emphasis on PLCs, HMIs, and automation technologies. Lead new equipment integrations, upgrades, and automation projects.
- Technical Support & Troubleshooting: Serve as the controls expert, providing advanced troubleshooting and reducing downtime across production lines.
- Process Optimization: Analyze operations to identify automation opportunities, improve workflow reliability, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate schematics, control documentation, and project records while ensuring alignment with safety and industry standards.
- Project Management: Execute engineering projects from concept through commissioning—including budgeting, scheduling, and vendor coordination.
- Training & Support: Train maintenance and operations teams on Siemens systems and troubleshooting best practices.
- Facility & Safety: Support 5S initiatives, preventive maintenance, and enforce safety protocols within the engineering function.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or related field.
- 3+ years of industrial controls engineering experience.
- Strong hands‑on proficiency with PLCs
, HMIs, Profibus/Profinet networks, and automation hardware. - Skilled in troubleshooting, electrical design, and technical documentation.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Proactive, results‑oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
