Overview

Seeking a hands-on, results-oriented Industrial Engineer to lead projects from planning through implementation, including capital projects and the installation and launch of new product lines. The Industrial Engineer independently applies industrial engineering methods to improve manufacturing efficiency, establish and validate labor standards through time studies, and deliver measurable improvements in safety, quality, cost, and delivery. The successful candidate is a hands-on project leader who can manage and execute work with minimal supervision while collaborating across functions.

Responsibilities
  • Lead continuous-improvement projects from problem definition through implementation and sustainment.
  • Design and optimize production processes, layouts, and material flow to improve throughput and reduce waste.
  • Develop and maintain labor standards, capacity models, and production schedules.
  • Apply Lean and Six Sigma methods—including DMAIC, SMED, Kanban, and statistical process control—to solve operational problems.
  • Perform cost-benefit analyses and prepare business cases for capital projects, equipment purchases, and process changes. Facilitate Kaizen events, value-stream mapping, and root-cause analysis with cross-functional teams.
  • Develop simulation models to assess process changes, capacity expansions, and new-product
    introductions.
  • Partner with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain to resolve issues and improve performance.
  • Support new product introduction (NPI) by defining processes, tooling requirements, and labor standards.
  • Track project KPIs, report results to leadership, and provide technical guidance to teammates.
  • Ensure work processes comply with applicable safety, quality, and environmental standards.
Qualifications — Education, Experience and Competencies

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience of industrial engineering in a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated success leading process-improvement projects and delivering measurable results.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and statistical analysis.
  • Proficiency with CAD tools (such as AutoCAD or Solid Works) and data-analysis tools (such as Excel, Minitab, or Power BI).
  • Experience with ERP/MES systems such as SAP, Oracle, Plex, or similar platforms.
  • Strong project-management, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to collaborate and influence across functions and organizational levels, listen to differing perspectives, and resolve problems constructively.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
Preferred
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
  • Experience with simulation software such as Arena, Flex Sim, or Any Logic.
  • Experience supporting new product introductions (NPI) or capital projects.
  • Familiarity with automation, robotics, or Industry 4.0 technologies.
Core Competencies and Values
  • Process-oriented, with a focus on building repeatable processes and sustaining improvements.
  • Proactive problem-solver who anticipates issues rather than simply reacting to them.
  • Service-minded and focused on solutions that benefit internal and external customers.
  • Respectful, approachable, and collaborative; assumes positive intent and communicates thoughtfully.
  • Acts with integrity, follows through on commitments, and maintains high standards for quality and continuous improvement.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, temperature variations, and moving equipment.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Ability to stand, walk, and observe production-floor operations for extended periods.
  • Occasional travel to other facilities or supplier sites may be required.
