Responsible for highly complex accounting activities supporting the accurate and timely close of the general ledger. Problems faced are difficult and often complex.

• Prepares and posts journal entries, account reconciliations, fixed asset processing, lease/contract review, accrual entries, and budget variance reviews.
• Researches and analyzes assigned large elements of revenue and expense and the related internal/external reporting.
• Ensures general ledger account balances are materially correct in compliance with internal controls and GAAP and that internal control risks are tested and documented in accordance with Sarbanes‑Oxley.
• Leads internal and cross‑functional teams on major initiatives/projects including process improvement, regulatory compliance changes, and policy recommending innovative solutions.
• Coaches, reviews, and delegates work to lower level professionals.
• Complies with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance or other related quantitative discipline is required.
• Five (5) years experience in accounting and financial reporting.
• Excellent analytical and financial analysis skills required.
• Outstanding knowledge of business software, spreadsheet applications and/or mainframe or web‑based applications.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills including presentation skills.

The position will be domiciled at a Fed Ex Freight location in Memphis, TN or Harrison, AR. You will be required to work at a Fed Ex Freight location several times per week.

$65,000.00 – $85,000.00.
