Job Description: As a Tax Accountant, you will be responsible for tax compliance, which includes, but is not limited to, federal income tax returns for Auto Zone and its subsidiaries, assisting in Auto Zone’s quarterly and annual tax provisions including SEC 10-K footnotes, tax accounting analysis and reporting, tax research, and identifying tax incentives.

• Tax Provisions:
  Assist with quarterly and annual tax provisions, including SEC 10-K footnotes.
• Tax Returns:
  Prepare the Consolidated Federal Income Tax return.
• Financial Reporting:
  Ensure timely payments and accurate financial reporting.
• Reconciliations:
  Reconcile tax returns and balances to the general ledger.
• Accounting Adjustments:
  Make necessary accounting adjustments.
• Tax Research:
  Conduct tax research, identify areas of concern, and clearly communicate findings.
• Federal Tax Audits:
  Support federal tax audits.

What We’re Looking For:

• Education:
  
  You hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting
• Financial Accounting Knowledge:
  You possess a strong understanding of financial accounting principles.
• Communication
  
  Skills:
  
  You possess excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Excel Proficiency:
  You are proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Attention to Detail:
  You have a high degree of accuracy and meticulous attention to detail.
• Deadline Management:
  You have the ability to meet deadlines under strict time constraints

• Experience:
  
  You have 1-2 years of corporate tax accounting experience.
