Senior Accountant

Participate in month-end financial close activities for US, Puerto Rico, and Canada legal entities.
Perform daily activities related to assigned areas of responsibility.
Prepare quarterly and year-end reports for US, Puerto Rico, and Canada legal entities.
Collaborate with division/market colleagues, controllers/consolidations, treasury, legal, and corporate tax on strategic projects and process improvements. Involvement will require problem-solving, communication, presentation, and analytical skills.
Participate in system change and implementation efforts affecting areas of responsibility.
Improve processing efficiencies through innovative technical and processing solutions.
Ensure process changes comply with Pfizer accounting and internal control policies, including SOX and related documentation.
Support internal and external audit requests.
Develop and assist in automating accounting processes, analysis techniques, and reporting functionalities.
Work independently with other departments and international locations to research, analyze, and resolve irregularities and discrepancies.

Strong ERP system experience (SAP preferred).
Proficiency in PC skills (MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint) required.
Excellent oral, written, and overall communication skills.
3-5 years of relevant experience.
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
