The Staff Accountant will be a key member of the Shared Services Finance & Accounting team that supports The Armstrong Company portfolio of companies. This role will be responsible for various accounting functions, including, but not limited to end-to-end accounting, cash flow management, AR and AP management, financial reporting, fixed asset management, and planning / forecasting for various subsidiaries.

• Assist in preparing financial reports, budgets, and forecasts
• Lead month-end and year-end closing processes for assigned subsidiaries
• Perform cash flow analysis and manage the account receivables and payables of assigned subsidiaries
• Assist in the implementation of Fixed Assets Management in Net Suite and support the VP of Tax in managing the fixed asset processes for The Armstrong Company
• Conduct ad hoc research and analysis of financial data for business insights
• Assist in the creation of presentations and reports for management and stakeholders
• Assist the CFO, Director of Finance, and VP of Tax with various special projects and initiatives as they arise

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business accounting, or finance preferred.
• Understanding of accounting and corporate finance principles and procedures.
• Ability and willingness to keep maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and organize efficiently.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word).

• Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.
• This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 10 pounds.
