Overview
This role provides direct clinical patient care. The role will assume responsibility for assessing, planning, and implementing direct clinical care to assigned patients on a per shift basis and at the unit level. The role is responsible for supervision of staff to whom appropriate care is delegated. The role is accountable to support the CNO to ensure high quality, safe and appropriate nursing care, competency of clinical staff, and appropriate resource management related to patient care in the following areas:
All Critical Care CCU/ICU, ER, NICU, CVICU, PICU, MICU, Radiology, Dialysis, PACU, CVOR, Labor and Delivery, OR, Cardiac Cath Lab, and GI/Endo. This position will support all facilities in the market as needed.
- Assess, plan, implement direct clinical care for assigned patients on a per shift basis and at the unit level.
- Supervise staff to whom care is delegated.
- Support the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) to ensure high quality, safe and appropriate nursing care, maintain competency of clinical staff, and manage resources related to patient care.
- Provide care across multiple units as listed above as needed by the facilities in the market.
