Position Summary
The School of Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of Memphis ((Use the "Apply for this Job" box below).) invites applications for a 12‑month, non‑tenure‑track Clinical Assistant Professor in Audiology situated on the Park Avenue Campus. The successful candidate will serve as an innovative clinician with a focus on vestibular assessment and management and will provide clinical education in our graduate‑only audiology program.
Applicants are expected to collaborate on research and service with clinical and academic faculty, assist in the maintenance and growth of the vestibular clinic (which uses oculomotor examination, caloric testing, rotary chair examination, vestibular evoked myogenic potentials, video head impulse test, BPPV management, etc.), and may provide hearing‑aid services. Experience teaching a clinical laboratory course is also encouraged.
Required credentials:
AuD or PhD in audiology, Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC‑A) from ASHA, eligibility for Tennessee state licensure (audiology with hearing‑aid dispensing). A minimum of 2 years post‑graduate experience is required, with at least .2 ASHA CEUs in clinical education and .1 CEU in ethics within the last credentialing period. Experience supervising students is desirable.
- Provide high‑quality audiology clinical services across the lifespan.
- Teach and supervise students in clinical laboratories and vestibular diagnostics.
- Contribute to the growth and management of the vestibular clinic.
- Collaborate with faculty on research, service projects, and committees.
- Participate in faculty meetings and professional development activities.

- At least 2 years of post‑graduate experience
