Position Details
:
Provides nutrition assessments for a 42‑bed NICU and step‑down unit. Participates in multidisciplinary rounds and collaborates closely with the clinical team to optimize nutrition support. Precepts 1–3 graduate interns annually and supports the NICU Quality team with nutrition data. May assist with implementing nutrition protocols or projects.

Salary
: $68,500–$80,000.

We are seeking a NICU Dietitian to join our Nutrition Team in an Acute Care setting in Memphis, TN.

• Provide or lead nutrition services in the NICU for a minimum of 70% of workload/responsibilities.
• Assess the nutritional status of patients/residents through documentation in the medical record.
• Train and mentor patient/resident services staff and interns as applicable.
• Foster teamwork and establish effective strategies to implement innovative programs that lead to optimal clinical nutrition and financial outcomes.
• Comply with regulatory standards, including federal, state, and accrediting agencies while adhering to facility confidentiality, HIPAA regulations, and patient/resident rights policies.
• Participate in patient/resident satisfaction programs, departmental meetings, and facility‑wide Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement programs.

• Credentialed as a Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
• Licensed by the State Dietetics Licensing Board in states where required.
• Two (2) years of experience in the area of specialty required.
• Specialty certification when applicable.
• Proficiency with Microsoft applications, electronic medical record & diet office systems, and nutrient analysis programming.
