Overview

St. Francis Hospital Memphis is a 510-bed acute care hospital dedicated to providing high quality, compassionate care to the Mid-South community. As a comprehensive medical center, Saint Francis Hospital Memphis features a broad spectrum of tertiary and acute care, outpatient services and specialty areas including Women’s Services, Surgical Services, Bariatric Center of Excellence and Behavioral Health. Other acute care areas include Emergency Room, Critical Care, Med/Surg and Telemetry.

Position
:
Physicist Full Time Days

• Quality assurance of the radiation producing apparatus in the Department.
• Quality assurance of the treatment records of the patients in the Department.
• Verification and/or validation of the treatment plans.
• Quality assurance of the brachytherapy program.
• Participation in the educational programs within the Department.
• Participation in the research programs within the Department.

• Required: Masters Degree in medical physics, physics, or a closely allied field.

• Required: The physicist will have completed a program which included clinical responsibilities in radiation oncology physics.

• Required: If the physicist is not certified in Therapeutic Radiological Physics by the American Board of Radiology or equivalent, the physicist will begin the certification process as soon as possible.
