Associate Professor - Division of Nephrology
The University of Tennessee Health Science Center, Department of Medicine, Division of Nephrology, is seeking candidates for a full-time non‑tenure Associate Professor. The position involves 50% research and teaching and 50% patient care.
Responsibilities- Apply for HIH grants related to nephrology human studies, with the goal of obtaining NIH funding within two years of hire to cover at least 35% of salary.
- Mentor medical students for research projects linked with Nephrology.
- Hold clinical sessions and inpatient attending duties at clinical practice sites.
- Supervise Nephrology fellows.
- MD degree.
- Demonstrated track record of excellence in patient care, research, peer‑reviewed publications, and potential to serve as Principal Investigator of cutting‑edge clinical trials.
- Board‑certified or board‑eligible in Nephrology required. Active or eligibility to obtain a Tennessee Medical License.
