Pharmacist-Clinical Staff

Provides age‑specific pharmaceutical care and basic clinical services in assigned patient care areas. Contributes to unit/department/hospital goals, programs, quality assurance, performance improvement, and other activities. Performs additional duties as assigned.

• Manage medication orders with age‑specific considerations to ensure safety (processing, preparation, dispensing).
• Participate in pharmacotherapeutic plan processes.
• Manage own pharmacy practice effectively.
• Supervise and direct healthcare team members.
• Process and prepare sterile products for dispensing.
• Contribute to goal setting, program development, and reporting for the unit/department/hospital.
• Provide drug information and education.
• Participate actively on inter‑ and intra‑departmental committees.
• Maximize safety and efficiency through appropriate use of automation.

• One year of hospital pharmacy experience.

• BLS and/or ACLS certification, advanced post‑graduate training or equivalent clinical experience.

• Minimum required:
  Bachelor of Science (B.S.) or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.
  
  D.).

• Computer literacy, interpersonal skills, general clinical awareness.
• Basic computer literacy and communication skills; accuracy and attention to detail required.
• Advanced computer order entry literacy, Microsoft Office applications, and significant clinical experience preferred.

• Current, active, unrestricted pharmacy licensure for the appropriate state or eligibility for licensure. Must acquire licensure within 120 days of hire date.
• Pharmacist qualified for the appropriate state.
