The Patient Account Representative - Biller is responsible for the following:
- Maintain the billing system and ensure claims are submitted accurately and on time.
- Review billing forms (UBs/1500s) for completeness and correctness before submission.
- Manage claim follow-up, including appeals and adjustment requests.
- Document patient accounts appropriately.
- Communicate with insurance companies regarding claim status and next steps.
- Assist patients or responsible parties with billing and financial responsibility questions.
- Accept patient payments when needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

QualificationsJob Requirements
Education:
Associates Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business preferred, High school diploma or GED required.
Experience:
Two years of healthcare areimbursement and third-party billing experience. Must possess knowledge of all accounting applications and third-party reimbursement regulations. Must have the ability to read and interpret Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) and demonstrate an understanding of over payments and recoupments. Must have an elevated level of interpersonal skills. Position continually requires demonstrated poise, professionalism, tact, and diplomacy.
Knowledge:
