Data Center Engineer

Base pay range

$60.00/hr - $70.00/hr

One of the leading providers of best-in-class information technology services and solutions is looking for a Data Center Consultant to join their Memphis, TN team! This role would require about 90% travel to various sites around the US.

• 5+ years of hands-on data center experience, including rack/stack and hardware installation
• Experience working with copper and fiber cabling
• Basic Linux CLI knowledge for troubleshooting and system checks
• Understanding of networking fundamentals, including DNS, DHCP, and Layer 2/Layer 3 concepts
• Ability to configure and verify network devices at a basic level
• Experience working with server hardware from vendors such as Dell, HP, or Supermicro

• Install, configure, and troubleshoot server, storage, and networking hardware in enterprise data centers
• Perform rack and stack of servers, network devices, and supporting infrastructure
• Run, terminate, and manage structured cabling, including copper, fiber, and power
• Perform Layer 1 diagnostics and resolve hardware-related issues
• Navigate Linux-based operating systems for basic troubleshooting and verification
• Assist with basic configuration and validation of network devices using vendor CLIs
