Senior Systems Administrator
Under limited supervision, responsible for managing and maintaining the organization's IT infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability.
Responsibilities- Manage and maintain servers, networks, and cloud environments.
- Design, install, test, configure, and upgrade hardware and software.
- Identify and create processes to integrate technology improvements into business processes.
- Utilize strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve hardware, software, or other system issues.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide solutions.
- Ensure data backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.
- Monitor system performance and security, implementing necessary improvements.
- Collaborate with IT teams to optimize system efficiency and enforce IT policies and security protocols.
- Responsible for projects including the implementation of remediation activities, patch management, and firmware updates in a highly complex environment.
- Provide technical guidance to users and mentorship to junior administrators.
- Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Minimum education:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science, computer engineering, information technology or related field. - Minimum experience:
Five (5) years of experience in system administration, computer support or information technology environment, and desktop computing. - Expertise in Windows operating systems, virtualization, and cloud platforms.
- Strong knowledge of networking, cybersecurity, and database management.
- Experience with automation tools and scripting languages.
- Knowledge of supply chain analytics and data visualization tools.
- Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration.
- Some travel required (occasionally).
