Provide expert technical support and knowledge for installation, patching, configuration, and updates to enterprise applications, Windows PC and Server Operating Systems and hardware, non-Windows Operating Systems and hardware, virtualization, databases, and other technologies. Maintain documented (e.g. Disaster Recovery) procedures for Windows Infrastructure. Collaborates and contributes with team members, software vendors, and other technical and non-technical staff to develop, design, implement, and continuously improve systems.

May require on-call availability and may require working during non-business hours and on weekends. Works closely with other System Analyst and other technical resources to analyze and maintain applications and provide network administrative functions. Takes initiative and exercises limited independent judgment to resolve problems. Models appropriate behavior as exemplified in MLH Mission, Vision and Values.

What you will do

  • Customer Support:
    Provides support to internal and external customers on site or remotely to analyze reported incidents or requests resulting in a completed request, successful repair, or correction.
  • Disaster Recovery:
    Develops, maintains, and supports backups and disaster recovery for the systems maintained by Enterprise Platforms.
  • Maintenance:
    Provides maintenance of security, group policy, and configurations on existing hardware and software through established maintenance procedures.
  • Expertise Sharing:
    Provides expertise for other Enterprise System Administrators as needed for projects and to address issues.
  • Project Participation:
    Participates in project planning, analysis, kickoff, and implementation.
  • Documentation:
    Develops and maintains proper departmental documentation, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of team documentation.

Education Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree Computer sciences
  • Associate's Degree Information Systems
  • Bachelor's Degree Computer sciences
  • Bachelor's Degree Information Systems

Experience Qualifications

  • 7-9 years Server and storage hardware
  • Substitution:
    Ten (10) years of hands experience on server and storage hardware as well as applications/software support

  • Strong Communication:
    Exhibits strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
  • Problem Solving:
    Ability to research, analyzes, and resolves problems effectively to meet established performance metrics.
  • Project Involvement:
