AWS is growing rapidly, and we are looking for a Data Center Security Specialist (DSS) to join our expanding Infrastructure Operations team, who will help manage and improve site security operations in our data centers.

• Manage physical security operations, develop post orders, and define security procedures.
• Handle site incidents and work with security equipment.
• Participate in construction projects and drive day‑to‑day process improvement activities.
• Manage vendors and ensure consistent deployment of all required security policies and procedures.
• Participate in re‑occurring site audits and reviews and test new security technologies.

Must have and demonstrate resilient leadership skills, flexibility to work in a dynamic environment, exceptional knowledge of security practices, and strong written and verbal communication.

• Bachelor’s degree in Criminology/Criminal Justice or a relevant field.
• Experience using CCTV, access control and intrusion systems.
• Experience with Microsoft Office tools.

• Experience with various Access/Intrusion control Systems in a Control room environment.
• 1+ years of security operations oversight experience.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $43,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $94,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
