AI Platform Engineer II

IDR is seeking a AI Platform Engineer II to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Memphis, TN. This role involves supporting the design, development, and delivery of AI solutions within a cutting‑edge technology organization that focuses on AI infrastructure and application development. The position offers the chance to work on innovative projects in a collaborative environment, with opportunities for growth and skill expansion.

Position Overview for the AI Platform Engineer II:

• Supports the design, development, and delivery of AI solutions, focusing either on infrastructure (LLM platform, cloud engineering) or AI application development (user experiences, integrations).
• Works independently on moderate features and short projects, collaborating with cross‑functional teams.
• Contributes to secure, scalable, and impactful AI solutions by developing APIs, automation scripts, and participating in system integration.
• Assists with implementing security, compliance, and governance controls, along with logging, monitoring, and reporting for auditability.
• Develops and deploys AI applications using CI/CD pipelines and containerized environments, adopting Dev Ops practices.

Requirements for the AI Platform Engineer II:

• 5–7+ years of experience in software development, infrastructure engineering, or cloud engineering, with proficiency in either AI infrastructure or AI application development.
• Experience building backend applications and APIs (REST/Graph
  
  QL/gRPC) or developing user‑facing AI applications.
• Familiarity with GenAI frameworks (Lang Chain, Llama Index, Semantic Kernel, etc.) or cloud‑native development (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (Python, Java, Type Script, etc.).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is preferred.
