Position

Description:

The Distribution Center Lead oversees and assists with the day-to-day activities of assigned shifts and associates, as instructed by the Distribution Center Supervisor and/or the Distribution Excellence Manager. The DC Lead acts as a "player-coach," monitoring and assisting the work of warehouse associates performing duties related to warehousing, transportation, safety, and inventory functions. The role also involves implementing work procedures to increase productivity and improve service within the operation.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Oversees and assists with daily activities of assigned shifts as instructed by the Distribution Center Supervisor.
  • Evaluates team members' performance, provides training, and offers feedback to management.
  • Reinforces SEAL and Standard Work practices, assisting with their implementation to boost productivity and service quality.
  • Records receipt, storage, and distribution of equipment, supplies, and specialty items using manual or automated inventory control systems.
  • Supervises maintenance of facilities, handling equipment, and inventory control systems.
  • Coordinates warehousing activities with management and administration.
  • Champions safe working conditions and monitors associates to ensure safety compliance.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Distribution Center Supervisor.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Computer literacy is required; experience with Microsoft Office Suite preferred.
  • Any suitable alternative qualifications may be considered.
