DescriptionResponsibilities
Responsibilities include the essential functions performed by a Senior Manufacturing Technician as needed, ensuring workflow, materials and tools are available, guiding and coordinating work teams, providing direction in new situations, and assisting with problem resolution with supervisory support. Includes determining operation sequences when specifications are imprecise, conducting on-the-job training and cross-training, verifying quality criteria, completing process and daily manufacturing documentation, interpreting complex prints, safely handling materials, following standard work procedures, performing TPM and preventative maintenance, practicing 6S and safety rules, operating material handling equipment, adhering to Hyosung HICO policies, advancing the company image, and understanding quality, safety and environmental policies.

Non-Essential Functions
Ability to contribute to training material development, support quality procedures and 6S initiatives, participate in Continuous Improvement and Kaizen activities, back up the Manufacturing Supervisor for materials and workflow, assist other manufacturing areas, and perform other duties as assigned.
Education/Special Skills/Experience/Training- Associate degree in technical field or vocational/trade school certification, plus five years’ prior manufacturing or manufacturing experience, or equivalent education and experience.
- Advanced knowledge of manufacturing policies, procedures and practices applicable to power transformer operations.
- Advanced mechanical/technical and troubleshooting skills.
- Advanced experience reading manufacturing drawings/specifications, prints or work instructions.
- Developed math and geometry skills.
- Advanced knowledge of applicable safety procedures and policies.
- Developed skills in the use of basic industrial measuring tools and various hand and power tools.
- Developed computer skills with emphasis on MS Office and business systems.
- Developed interpersonal skills including verbal, written and presentation skills.
- Ability to safely and correctly use hand and power tools and measurement devices.
- Ability to work at elevated heights and climb stairs.
- Ability to inspect work, read, write, and follow instructions, and judge quality against standards.
- Ability to operate powered equipment, such as a forklift and overhead crane.
- Ability to work in outdoor climate and normal indoor temperatures.
- Stand and walk 6-8 hours per day; ability to sit, squat, bend, stretch, twist, crawl, kneel, and reach above the shoulders as required.
- Ability to work in restricted spaces and climb to heights up to 20 feet for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 35 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to perform repetitive movement and use all applicable PPE including hard hat, safety toe shoes, safety glasses, and gloves.
