- Passion:
- Support daily production activities by ensuring processes are followed and equipment is operating effectively.
- Lead technical assessments, process simulations, and tooling reviews as required.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members to foster growth and skill development.
- Trustworthiness:
- Support validation activities by assisting with data collection, execution steps, and review tasks.
- Participate in preventative maintenance assessments, ensuring equipment remains reliable, safe, and capable of meeting production requirements.
- Provide timely support for urgent and complex production setups, ensuring customer priorities are met without compromising quality or efficiency.
- Drive Results:
- Assist in capacity assessments, material quoting inputs, and routing updates.
- Lead equipment quoting activities by supplying process knowledge, reviewing technical requirements, and assisting engineering with cost and capability assessments.
- Identify opportunities to reduce downtime, improve throughput, and support corrective actions.
- Support inloading of new business by creating programs, setup sheets, reviewing documents, and leading training activities.
- Collaboration:
- Provide support during PFMEA review, control plan activities, and inspection plan execution.
- Communicate issues promptly and participate in cross‑functional problem‑solving.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and technology assessments across production areas.
- Execute high‑level PM and unscheduled maintenance as needed, providing guidance to the maintenance team when appropriate.
- Advanced mechanical aptitude with deep understanding of manufacturing processes, particularly Swiss turning operations.
- Ability to read and interpret work instructions, drawings, and specifications.
- Strong expertise in process controls, inspection methods, troubleshooting, and process optimization.
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate.
- Experience driving continuous improvement, standardization, and best practices in manufacturing processes.
- 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably in medical device or precision manufacturing.
- Experience supporting operators, engineering, or quality in process‑related tasks.
- Familiarity with validation activities, process checks and equipment troubleshooting.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate Degree in Manufacturing Technology or a related field preferred.
- Technical training or certifications in machining, manufacturing technology and/or maintenance preferred.
- Microsoft Office Applications, familiarity with CNC programming, and related process‑monitoring software.
- Ability to sit or stand and move within an office or production environment for extended periods.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 lbs., including tooling, fixtures, or small components.
- Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required in manufacturing areas.
- Excellent visual acuity to inspect parts, monitor machining processes, review technical drawings, and work with computer systems.
- Ability to hear and communicate clearly in meetings, on calls, and during team discussions.
- Occasional bending, stooping, or reaching during on‑site activities, machine setup, or workspace organization.
- Primarily floor‑based role supporting live production operations.
- Standard Monday–Friday schedule, with flexibility as needed to support project milestones and production priorities.
- Exposure to machinery, tools, and manufacturing materials.
