The ideal candidate will be capable of setting machine parameters based on material type and thickness, executing quality welds, and identifying and rectifying defective welds. Experience with the Millermatic 350P and Miller 452 welding machines is essential. You should also be comfortable using a grinder for clean-up post-welding tasks.

• Set machine parameters according to material type and thickness.
• Execute proper welds per application and correct defective welds.
• Maintain daily production standards.
• Use a grinder for clean-up upon completion of welding tasks.
• Read and interpret detailed drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
• Use tape measures and other measuring tools with high accuracy.
• Fit and align materials based on project specifications.
• Perform light MIG welding to secure components.
• Collaborate with fabricators and welders to complete custom builds.
• Inspect and verify dimensions and tolerances of assembled components.

• Prior experience as a welder in an industrial or construction environment.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and technical documentation.
• Skilled in tape measuring and layout techniques.
• Experience in MIG welding (light fabrication work).
• Strong attention to detail and precision.
• Reliable transportation and punctuality.

• Basic knowledge of metalworking and fabrication techniques.
• Certifications in welding or blueprint reading are a plus.
• Forklift experience is preferred but not required.

The position is based in a sheet metal fabricating facility that is very dirty and loud. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required, including steel toe shoes, work pants without rips or tears, ear plugs, and safety glasses. The role operates on the first shift from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Memphis, TN.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Memphis, TN.
