General Laborer

Position: General Laborer I

We’re currently seeking a General Laborer I to join our growing team of diverse manufacturing professionals in Memphis, Tennessee.

This position will be supporting our first shift, which operates Monday through Friday from 6:00am to 2:30pm.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Follows assembly instructions

Mindful of all safety and quality protocol

Operates forklifts to move and organize rail material in the rail yard Assists other employees, works collaboratively to accomplish goals

Takes initiative by providing input and information to resolve assembly issues

Identifies delays or barriers such as material shortages or quality issues

High degree of attention required to prevent injury to others; promote a safe work environment

Follows instructions for operating equipment and keeping records

Executes assignments in an accurate, timely, and safe manner

Maintains a clean and safe work environment

Minimum Qualifications:

Ability to obtain forklift certification

High School diploma or GEDMust be able to read a tape measure down to 1/32nd of an inch Regularly sitting on a powered industrial truck, forklift, or other loading equipment

Frequently lift up to 50 pounds and adjust body position to bend, stoop, stand, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for long periods of time Having a good sense of balance

Having good eye-hand-foot coordination

Ability to assess weights and judge distances and heights

Ability to work in an outdoor setting, which could include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust Ability to work on-site in Memphis, Tennessee

Preferred Qualifications:

Bilingual English / Spanish language skills

Math, reading, and basic computer skills

Valid driver’s license with a clean recent driving record
