Registered Nurse (RN) | Germantown | Operating Room | Full Time Nights
Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to work nights in our Germantown Operating Room.
OverviewA brief overview of the role and responsibilities.
Responsibilities- Deliver and coordinate nursing care for patients within a multidisciplinary team, utilizing the nursing process to ensure comprehensive, high‑quality care.
- Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Provide patient and family education on care plans, medications, and self‑care strategies.
- Administer medications safely, following best practices in medication management.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated, high‑quality patient care.
- Associate's Degree Nursing - RN
- Preferred:
Bachelor's Degree Nursing - RN
- Minimum 6 months RN experience.
- Preferred:
Greater than 1 year experience in similar clinical setting.
- Comprehensive understanding of patient care and the nursing process.
- Strong knowledge of the Nurse Practice Act and scope of practice.
- Critical thinking to develop, implement, and support individualized care plans.
- Effective delegation and team collaboration.
- Familiarity with healthcare technology (e.g., bar code scanning, electronic health records).
- BASIC LIFE SUPPORT – American Heart Association
- Registered Nurse Tennessee – Tennessee Board of Nursing
- Preferred:
Certification in clinical specialty
- Climbing, pushing, standing, hearing, walking, reaching, grasping, kneeling, stooping, repetitive motion.
- Must have good balance and coordination.
- Medium work: exerting up to 50 lbs occasionally and/or up 25 lbs frequently.
- Close visual acuity, color, depth perception, and field of vision required.
- Frequent invasive and non‑invasive patient contact.
- Exposure to patient body fluids and hazardous materials.
- Ability to react quickly to emergency situations.
