Registered Nurse (RN) | Germantown | Operating Room | Full Time Nights

Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to work nights in our Germantown Operating Room.

A brief overview of the role and responsibilities.

• Deliver and coordinate nursing care for patients within a multidisciplinary team, utilizing the nursing process to ensure comprehensive, high‑quality care.
• Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Provide patient and family education on care plans, medications, and self‑care strategies.
• Administer medications safely, following best practices in medication management.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated, high‑quality patient care.

• Associate's Degree Nursing - RN
• Preferred:
  Bachelor's Degree Nursing - RN

• Minimum 6 months RN experience.
• Preferred:
  Greater than 1 year experience in similar clinical setting.

• Comprehensive understanding of patient care and the nursing process.
• Strong knowledge of the Nurse Practice Act and scope of practice.
• Critical thinking to develop, implement, and support individualized care plans.
• Effective delegation and team collaboration.
• Familiarity with healthcare technology (e.g., bar code scanning, electronic health records).

• BASIC LIFE SUPPORT – American Heart Association
• Registered Nurse Tennessee – Tennessee Board of Nursing
• Preferred:
  Certification in clinical specialty

• Climbing, pushing, standing, hearing, walking, reaching, grasping, kneeling, stooping, repetitive motion.
• Must have good balance and coordination.
• Medium work: exerting up to 50 lbs occasionally and/or up 25 lbs frequently.
• Close visual acuity, color, depth perception, and field of vision required.
• Frequent invasive and non‑invasive patient contact.
• Exposure to patient body fluids and hazardous materials.
• Ability to react quickly to emergency situations.
