We are seeking an experienced Neonatology Nurse Practitioner for a 30-day locum tenens assignment in Tennessee. This opportunity begins on Mar 23, 2026, and offers a flexible schedule with a minimum of 40 hours per week in a busy NICU. The unit operates seven days a week, providing care to a high census of neonates and complex surgical cases. Candidates must have at least three years of NICU experience and the required certifications.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Manage and provide care for neonates in a 60-bed NICU
  • Participate in care for surgical cases
  • Collaborate with two NNP teams and one resident fellow team
  • Assume responsibility for assigned patient load (currently 59 babies in unit)
  • Work alongside other NNPs and support staff to ensure optimal neonatal care
  • Respond to emergent situations requiring advanced neonatal resuscitation
  • Adhere to clinical protocols and best practices in neonatology
Additional Information
  • Minimum of 3 years NICU experience required
  • Must have current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications
  • Board certification as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) required
  • Current Tennessee license or eligibility to obtain prior to start
