Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Level IV NICU night shift position requiring a TN or compact license and at least 2 years of neonatal critical care experience.
Responsibilities- Work in a Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit within a children’s hospital
- Night shifts are 3x12 hours, 19:00 to 07:00
- Critical care nursing for neonatal patients including attending deliveries and providing resuscitation for newborns
- Weekend shifts are required as needed
- Floating may occur to like units and campuses within 20 miles
- Cerner EMR is used and previous experience is preferred
- Role includes care of well babies and serving as the resuscitation nurse at deliveries
- Children’s hospital is a Level I Pediatric Trauma Center
- All requested time off must be submitted at application; no RTO will be approved afterward
- Travelers may be required to work 2 out of 3 major holidays if the assignment spans Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s, or 1 of 2 if only two fall during the contract
- Returned employees or travelers must have at least a one-year separation from prior service at the facility
- Dress code and scrub requirements align with pediatric NICU standards
- Active and in-hand RN license for TN or a compact state, no pending licensure accepted
- Minimum of 2 years recent Level IV NICU experience is strictly required
- At least 1 completed previous travel assignment
- BSN is preferred
- BLS certification must remain current throughout assignment
- Candidate must reside at least 100 miles from the facility
- First-time travelers considered only with 3+ years relevant experience
- Copies of driver’s license and proof of vaccination status required for consideration
