Description:

Responsible for providing care in the surgical unit. Patient to nurse ratio is 1 RN per surgery. Unit has 10 beds available. Staffing includes 11 RN positions, along with unit secretaries and tech availability. Utilizes surgical equipment. Documentation is performed using MEDITECH. Schedule requires 24-hour coverage. Floating policy is not applicable. Focus on ensuring positive patient experience as a Circulating Nurse.

Familiarity with procedures performed in the unit is essential. Required uniform is ceil blue scrubs. Adherence to unit-specific policies and guidelines is mandatory. Recognition and awards have been received for outstanding departmental performance. New equipment and technology may contribute to an engaging work environment.
