Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Maryville, TN | Acute Care

Contract | Night Shift | 3x12 Hours (19:00–07:30)

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit during night shift hours
• Assist with and monitor special procedures including post heart catheterization care, dialysis catheter placement, thoracentesis, and incision and drainage (I&D)
• Administer and manage medications using the Omnicell medication system
• Float to similar units as needed based on census and staffing requirements
• Provide weekend coverage on a rotating basis, approximately every other weekend, subject to change based on operational need
• Complete required pre-assignment modules and annual compliance requirements prior to and during the contract period

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Tennessee
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Medical Surgical / Telemetry setting
• Minimum of 1 year of experience with Epic EMR
• Must live more than 100 miles from the contracted facility to be eligible at full rate; candidates residing 50–99.9 miles away may be considered at a reduced rate; candidates under 50 miles are ineligible

• Prior travel nursing experience preferred; first-time travelers may be considered based on overall experience
• Familiarity with Omnicell medication management systems
• Experience with bedside procedures such as thoracentesis, dialysis catheter care, and post-cardiac catheterization monitoring

• Pre-assignment orientation modules are billable, with reimbursement available for up to 16 hours of module completion time
• Floating is limited to units for which the traveler has demonstrated and documented competencies, supporting a safe and appropriate care environment
