As a Locum NP Hospitalist, you will play a vital role in the healthcare team, responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and managing patients in the hospital setting. • Conduct thorough patient assessments and evaluations
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and laboratory results
• Develop and implement patient care plans
• Provide patient education and support to enhance health outcomes
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
• Participate in hospital rounds and patient consultations

• Associate degree in Nursing;
  Bachelor's degree preferred
• Active Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Tennessee
• Experience in a hospital setting, particularly in Internal Medicine
• Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
• Knowledge of electronic health records (EHR) systems
• Commitment to providing high-quality patient care

Shifts:

7a-7p, 3p-3a, and 7p-7a

Schedule:

7 on/7 off

Nightly Volume: ~15 admits, 2-3 calls per hour

Duties:
Evaluate and handle new admissions, EKG reviews for possible STEMIs, some critical care coverage, etc.

No procedures required

Support Staff:
Hospitalist MD on backup call, APPs

EMR:
Epic

Must be board-certified or board-eligible
