Critical Illness and Rehab SSH - West Tennessee RN Registered Nurse - 4609 (Night)

• Work night shifts in critical illness and rehabilitation unit
• Maintain delivery of quality care by ensuring nursing care plans are followed
• Supervise Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees
• Perform nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission
• Develop individualized care plans based on assessment data
• Provide patient information for Initial Team Conferences and weekly Re-evaluation Team Conferences
• Document all assessments, interventions and patient responses accurately and timely
• Participate in patient rehabilitation programs with focus on patient/family education
• Initiate discharge planning from day of admission and provide patient teaching
• Communicate patient status changes to care providers, attending physicians, and Charge Nurses
• Direct, train, and supervise ancillary nursing personnel using effective delegation
• Assume charge responsibilities following orientation period as requested
• Maintain personal and environmental safety in accordance with hospital policies
• Required certifications: BLS prior to first shift, ACLS prior to first shift
• Critical care experience required
• Minimum two years bedside clinical experience highly desired
• Must follow hospital guidelines for personal appearance, attendance and punctuality
