Quality Control Laboratory Technician Job Description
- Coordinate rework materials that have been returned or damaged internally.
- Assist with color solutions intended for batch production.
- Assist with storage of bulk retain samples.
- Assist with batch reconciliation and yield determination.
- Assist Lead Chemist or QC Manager with duties as required.
- Proficiency in chemist and quality control techniques.
- Knowledge of laboratory terminology and equipment.
- Experience with viscometer, wet chemistry, and titration.
- Understanding of microbiology, QC, quality assurance, and FDA compliance.
- Proficiency in aseptic techniques and documentation review.
- Experience with HPLC, Empower software, validation, method development, and GMP.
- Ability to handle samples and laboratory equipment.
- Ability to make mathematical computations and keep records.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to organize and carry out assigned programs.
- Adaptability to new technology and methods.
Skills & Qualifications
- BS/BA degree in Chemistry or a related field; or equivalent experience.
- 1-2 years of lab testing experience.
- Analytical methods and wet chemistry experience preferred.
- Knowledge and use of PPE, adherence to safe laboratory practices.
This position is based in a manufacturing facility specializing in ethnic hair care, skin care, and cosmetics. The work shift is Monday to Thursday from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The role may require standing and walking for extended periods and handling materials weighing up to 50 pounds. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Memphis, TN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 – $22.00/hr.
