Job Description
The Department of Chemical Biology and Therapeutics e Children's Research Hospital is seeking a Senior Scientist to lead an automated light‑directed DNA synthesis platform for use in biomedical research and drug discovery.
ResponsibilitiesLead design and development of a high‑throughput automated light‑directed DNA synthesis platform; integrate optics, photolithography, microfluidics, and surface/materials science; collaborate with the chemistry and biology research teams to produce oligonucleotide libraries for various applications; work with legacy instruments such as Quanterix microarrayers and light‑directed synthesizers; advance high‑throughput screening and microarray printing technologies.
QualificationsBackground in chemical, biomedical, or electrical engineering; experience in optics/photolithography, microfluidics, and microfabrication; familiarity with optics/microscopy, ink jet technology, surface/materials science; experience in microarray technology or related fields.
Minimum Education and/or Training- Bachelor’s degree in relevant scientific area is required.
- Ten (10) years relevant work experience is required with Bachelor’s degree.
- Eight (8) years of relevant work experience is required with a Master’s degree.
- Five (5) years of relevant work experience is required with a PhD.

CompensationEstimated salary range: $104,000 – $186,160 per year for the Senior Scientist in Chemical Biology and Therapeutics.
