Coordinate the implementation of research designs and methodologies, data collection, analysis, interpretation and dissemination of study findings.
Participate in implementing and sustaining a research focus in Patient Care Services.
Contribute to the conceptualization of research ideas and studies.
Identify difficulties or challenges with data collection procedures and work to troubleshoot/problem solve those issues.
Actively participate in selected institutional collaborative research efforts;
Validate and maintain data integrity.Develop and facilitate educational programs including educational aids.
Evaluate the effectiveness of educational offerings and make changes based on feedback received.
Comply with hospital and departmental standards, policies, procedures, and protocols.
Perform other duties as assigned to meet the goals and objectives of the department and institution.
Maintains regular and predictable attendance.
Bachelor’s degree required.
Master’s degree preferred.
Minimum requirement: 3+ years of relevant experience participating in research or other related field.
Working knowledge of computers for data entry and analysis as well as for dissemination of research findings, preferred.
Familiarity with writing scientific findings and in making public presentations, preferred.
Minimum Requirement: 5+ years of relevant experience participating in research or other related field.
Completion of thesis or research study as part of graduate work OR some experience performing a major role in a research study, preferred.
Working knowledge of computers for data entry and analysis as well as for dissemination of research findings, preferred.
Proficient with writing scientific findings and in making public presentations, preferred.
Knowledge of adult learning principles and their application.
Proven performance in earlier role.
(LC: RN-TN) Must possess a current Tennessee State Board of Nursing license if primary residence is Tennessee or a Nurse Licensure non-Compact state.
(LC: RN-MS, RN-ARK or RN-KY) Must possess a current State Board of Nursing license in the state of primary residence if the state is a Nurse Licensure Compact state.
Reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $70,720 - $126,880 per year for the role of Nursing Research Specialist I or II.
