We are seeking a Culinary Cook to provide quality meals and nutritional services to patients, staff, and guests in accordance with Lakeside’s policies and nutritional standards. The Cook will work in a 365‑bed free‑standing psychiatric hospital located on a 37‑acre campus in northeast Shelby County, serving patients ranging from children to seniors.
ResponsibilitiesProvide timely, nutritionally balanced meals for patients, staff and guests. Prepare foods in line with dietary plans and special dietary requirements. Maintain kitchen cleanliness, safe food handling, and compliance with health and safety regulations. Assist with menu planning, inventory, and waste reduction. Participate in shift scheduling and staff collaboration.
Job DescriptionThe Culinary Cook participates in the provision of quality meals and nutritional services to patients, staff and guests in accordance with established policies and procedures and in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Lakeside Behavioral Health System.

Job Requirements
- Education: Prefer high school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Prefer prior culinary experience in a restaurant, casual or fine dining kitchen, hospital, health care, or hospitality setting. Experience with buffets, banquets, or EDR kitchens preferred.
- Licensure/Certification: Serve Safe certification preferred.
