As a Security Officer - Armed Healthcare Patrols in Memphis, TN

As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help deter security-related incidents and create a welcoming environment for staff, patients, and visitors. • Tue: 11:45 PM - 08:15 AM
• Wed: 11:45 PM - 08:15 AM
• Thu: 11:45 PM - 08:15 AM
• Sun: 11:45 PM - 08:15 AM

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare environment.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility and surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help deter unauthorized access and/or breaches of security-related protocols.
• Document and report all incidents, observations, and activities according to site-specific requirements and Allied Universal guidelines.
• Collaborate with medical staff, visitors, and other personnel to promote a secure environment and assist as needed.
• Remain alert to potential risks and/or hazards within the healthcare location and take appropriate action as directed by site procedures.

• Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
