Job Profile Summary

Essential Functions

• Provides protection for individuals and property from injury and/or criminal acts.
• Prevents unauthorized entry and responds to emergency situations.
• Assists in providing security at special events and for executives if needed.
• Facilitates VIP visits and special events at corporate headquarters.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Work/Domicile Location

This position will be located in Memphis, Tennessee.

Relocation

Relocation assistance is not available for these roles.

Minimum Experience/Education

Experience:

Two (2) years college/equivalent and two (2) years armed experience in law enforcement/military police/security, or four (4) years military experience in Military Police or Infantry/Combat Arms role, or Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
• Ability to successfully complete required training programs and maintain a special deputy commission.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Job Conditions

• Must maintain a valid driver's license to operate company vehicle.
• Non-covered safety-sensitive position. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
• Must be bond-able and qualify for a commission as a special deputy with the Shelby County Sheriffs department.
• If required to carry a firearm as part of job duties, subject to random drug testing.
