Security Dispatcher

Monitors continuously the communications in the Dispatch office. Initiates responses to security incidents and channels information to appropriate responders. Observes all CCTV monitors to ensure proper operation and to detect any illegal or inappropriate activity and alert patrolling security officers to same. Performs other duties as assigned.

Documents all activities of Security officers, in dispatch log, clearly, concisely, and timely. Log all in-coming telephone or radio requests for service.

• Inspects and tests CCTV/DVR equipment to ensure proper functioning. Log and report any deficiencies to Lieutenant or Director using appropriate forms.
• Monitors CCTV images to detect any suspicious or inappropriate activity. If detected, dispatch closes officer to area to investigate and eliminate the activity.
• Provides courteous and friendly customer serve to any individuals entering the security office seeking assistance.
• Demonstrates superior telephone etiquette when answering telephone calls.
• Completes assigned goals.

Minimum:
Knowledge, skills and mental development equivalent to completion of 4 years of high school, or an acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience.

Minimum: 1 year experience in a dispatcher or security setting.

Minimum:
Basic computer literacy skills required.
