As a Security Officer – Armed Medical Campus in Memphis, TN , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help maintain a secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents, while your commitment to customer service and clear communication will support a welcoming atmosphere.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.

• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing de-escalation techniques as needed.

• Conduct regular and random patrols inside the healthcare facility and along the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.

• Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access or breaches.

• Assist staff, visitors, and patients with security-related concerns and provide guidance as needed.

• Prepare detailed incident and shift reports documenting observations, activities, and/or incidents that occur during the shift.

• Support access control procedures and verify identification of individuals entering sensitive areas.

• Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency services during critical incidents as required.

• Maintain a professional and approachable presence while on duty to foster a welcoming environment for all persons at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an armed guard card or license.

• Be at least 21 years of age.

• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.

• Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.

• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
