As a Law Enforcement Officer you will report to an Assistant Manager and help protect bank property, valuables, and staff. A sworn Federal Police Officer with full arrest powers to enforce federal laws and Federal Reserve policies and regulations to protect life, property, and assets. Responsibly respond to incidents on bank property and provide emergency services. This position is an essential function of the Bank and will be an onsite role.
You may be required to work extended hours and/or during emergency or crisis situations.
- Operate as a law enforcement officer pursuant to the authority given to the Board of Governors by Section 11(q) of the Federal Reserve Act, authorized by the US Attorney General.
- Control pedestrian and vehicle access, patrol building grounds, and report unusual situations or unauthorized individuals.
- Maintain proficiency in lethal and non‑lethal weapons, first aid/CPR, fire suppression techniques, civil disorder response, and public relations through training.
- Exercise good judgment in life‑safety situations, including shoot‑and‑don’t‑shoot scenarios and handling of weapons or explosives.
- Use personal computer systems and related software, including physical access control, video surveillance, x‑ray and metal detection, alarm systems, and automated external defibrillators.
- Respond to general alarms, provide emergency service, and follow response protocol until resolution.
- Prepare logs and input incident and daily activity reports in prescribed format.
- Monitor x‑ray and metal detectors or use metal detection wands to scan visitors’ personal items and packages for unauthorized items.
- Authorize visitors accessing the bank facilities and record visitor data on logs.
- Monitor surveillance equipment, radios, intercoms, telephones, and other specialized equipment.
- Inspect vehicles entering secure areas for unauthorized personnel and contents.
- With assistance of a senior FRLEO or supervisor, conduct initial investigations into accidents and incidents, notify shift supervisor, and perform follow‑up duties as directed.
- Serve as a witness and testify in court regarding actions taken, observations made, and written reports.
- Write clear, concise, and grammatically correct police reports documenting any issue or event.
- Access law‑enforcement and bank databases, process intelligence to accomplish the FRLEO mission within the broader law‑enforcement community.
- Perform duties as assigned or requested.
- Adhere to bank attendance policies through regular and prompt attendance.
- Follow defined procedures and work appropriately in less defined areas, exercising independent decision‑making and problem‑solving based on training and common sense.
- High school education or equivalency required.
- Three years of experience in security, law enforcement, public safety, military, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Successful completion of the Basic Law Enforcement Course (BLEC) and the Field Training Evaluation Program (FTEP).
- Must be 21 years of age and a U.S. citizen.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Knowledge of regulations, procedures, and practices of the discipline.
- Ability to perform routine and repetitive tasks.
- Ability to lift and carry required equipment.
- Ability to shoot and qualify with department weapon systems.
- Physical ability to pass defensive tactics training.
- Maintain composure and perform appropriately under stressful conditions.
- Knowledge of first aid/CPR and emergency response procedures to fire and active shooter.
- Ability to respond effectively to emergency situations within the scope of assigned duties.

Salary: $61,500 – (10% shift differential for evening & nights)
