Job Description & How to Apply Below
The Role This is the relief position for the battery room team. Your core schedule is set and guaranteed at 40 hours per week. What makes this role unique is that you are the first call whenever someone on the team needs coverage - PTO, a doctor's appointment, a call-off. When you pick up a shift outside your core schedule, you earn an additional $1 per hour on top of your base rate.
Your Core Schedule Tuesday through Friday: 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM Saturday: 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM40 hours guaranteed, every week, same schedule
The weekday hours put you alongside both the first and second shift crews. The early Saturday start puts you in contact with the weekend day and night shift teams as well. This was designed intentionally so you know everyone on the floor - which makes you a better backup for any of them.
Pay $25.00/hr base rate (your core schedule)$26.00/hr when covering additional shifts outside your normal hours
About the Work You will own the battery room alongside your teammates. Your job is to keep the facility's electric forklift fleet charged, maintained, and ready to run every shift without exception. This is a safety-critical, hands-on role at a large distribution operation that runs 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. If the battery room does not show up, the fleet does not run.
We are looking for someone who takes that seriously.

Keep the battery room clean, organized, and in full compliance with OSHA safety requirements
Handle and neutralize electrolyte spills using proper PPE and procedures
Coordinate with forklift operators to schedule battery swaps with minimal disruption to operations
Step in for team members when coverage is needed - this is a core part of the role
