Power Transport Daytime Dispatch

The Power Transport Daytime Dispatcher is responsible for coordinating and managing the daily transportation operations during business hours. This role involves scheduling and dispatching drivers, monitoring shipment progress, addressing delays, and ensuring that customer delivery requirements are met ina timelyand efficient manner. The Daytime Dispatcher will work closely with drivers, customers, and the operations team to ensure smooth transportation operations throughout the day.

• Communicates with drivers. Promptly answers phone calls, emails, and messages to ensure proper communication andeliminatehold time for operators.
• Sends preplans to drivers and secures load commitments withina timely manner.
• Completes loaded and empty calls.
• Tracks operators’ performance from dispatch to delivery to ensure on-time services.
• Manages operator availability and updates drivers’ PTA accordingly and accurately.
• Responsible foroptimizingperformance of assigned drivers including:on-time pickup and delivery performance, Hours of Service (HOS) compliance, driveravailabilityand scheduling preferences.
• Builds andmaintainsprofessional and positive relationships with Hirschbachoperators and operationsteammembers.
• Coachesdriverstoidentifyopportunities for improvement and activelyprovidestraining/coaching needed toassistdrivers in reaching their highest potential and performance.
• Collaborates with Safetydepartmentto ensure drivers are in compliance withall policies and are coached effectively to meet organizational company standards.
• Proactivelyidentifiesissues that may occur with an operator’s settlement or pay by working closely with Driver Payroll.
• Attends meetings related to Hirschbachoperators and occasionally travels to visit terminal locations.
• Managesdriveravailability to maximize productivity of the fleet.
• Other duties as assigned including proactivelyassistingothers in achieving the organization’s objectives.

Schedule:

4 on 4 off schedule from 6am-6pm

Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent in education, paired with relevant professional experience.
• Bachelor's Degree in Transportation/Logistics/Supply Chain, ora relatedfieldis preferred.
• Ability to process information withhigh levelsof accuracy and energy.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload.
• Computerproficiencyand ability to navigate between multiple programs.
